Sound investments, emergency planning, resources management, and security systems are critical for businesses to sustain profits. Government agencies also need to continue operations to meet their obligations to provide the local community with a healthy, safe, and secure environment. CMI’s team of emergency planning specialists bring expanded services, strengths, and resources to support federal, state, local, and the business community homeland security initiatives.
CMI’s emergency planning specialists have training from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency and provide technical assistance to the USEPA (Regions 2, 3, and 4) with Inland Area Contingency Planning, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) and Facility Response Plan (FRP) review and inspections. CMI personnel have also assisted the USEPA, various state agencies and local county governments with counter-terrorism and weapons of mass destruction planning, preparedness, training, and exercises including the development of decontamination training courses, various Department of Homeland Security compliant table-top and full-scale exercises and continuity of operations plans (COOP).
