Course Description
HAZWOPER is an OSHA workplace health and safety Standard (29 CFR 1910.120) intended to protect employees who work with hazardous substances in specific scenarios. These scenarios include response to emergency releases of hazardous substances and cleanup and remediation at contaminated sites.
This interactive, instructor led online course provides 8 hours of initial or refresher HAZWOPER training required for “operations-level” first responders who take defensive actions to contain a hazardous substance release. Typical defensive response actions include shutting down equipment or ventilation, covering drains, and placing absorbent to prevent a release from spreading.
A certificate of course completion will be issued to each participant upon successful completion of the test.
